In keeping with one of the goals of the Peninsula Panthers to contribute to the community, six team members attended Bayside Middle School in Brentwood Bay to partner with the Central Saanich Police.

Six members of the Peninsula Panthers - including Cole Glover, Ben Meek, Cody Breitenstein, Justin Samra, Cole Golka and Kyle Richardson - attended Bayside Middle School early this afternoon to partner with the Central Saanich Police Service in a game of floor hockey against students at the school.

Following the game, the players handed out the Panthers Souvenir Program and spent time with the students in conversation and to sign autographs.  The Panthers are active in the community on the Peninsula and have a close partnership with the Central Saanich Police Service in attending both elementary and middle schools.

The Panthers play host to the Comox Valley Glacier Kings this evening at 7:30 p.m. and the players in attendance at Bayside Middle School invited the entire school at no charge to attend the game this evening.  Judging from the smiles on the faces of both the players and the students, it certainly appears as though a good time was had by all.

Hope you all can join us tonight at the Panorama Recreation Centre.  Puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
