What happened about 8 seconds before this photo was taken??

They say a photo is worth 1000 words....'nuf said! (Photo courtesy of Gordon Lee Photography)

This photo was taken at the Panorama in the last few seconds of the Panthers game against the Campbell River Storm Friday night. It's easy to see why players play the game!

This photo captures the Peninsula Panthers bench only seconds after 17-year-old Josh Adkins scored with 18 ticks left on the clock to give the Panthers a thrilling 4-3 win against the Campbell River Storm.  The Panthers had gone up with under three minutes left only to have their hearts broken with only 37 seconds left in the game and with the Storm goaltender on the bench for the extra attacker.  A turnover in the Panthers end resulted in the Storm knotting the score at three and for all intents and purposes, it looked like the game was going to go into overtime.  But it was Adkins who would be the guy to play hero on the evening and buy a round of smiles FOR THE BOYS!!

Winning might not be everything but judging by this photo, it sure looks to be a lot of fun!!
