Panthers Get in the Spirit of Canada Day

2012-07-01

Spencer Loverock, Kyle Richardson and Cody Allison created a lot of happy faces out in the community on Canada Day.

Three Peninsula Panthers' players got an early jump on community involvement for the 2012/13 season when they attended a Road Hockey game at Iriquos Park in the afternoon on Canada Day.  Cody Allison, Spencer Loverock and Kyle Richardson brought smiles to many young hockey players during the event on July 1st.  Although the weather was average, a good turnout of young players and parents were on hand to cheer and play in a fun-filled afternoon.

Allison, who is entering his 3rd year on the Panthers, is one of the few returning veterans to the Club and should play a key role in any on-ice success this coming season.  The gritty winger is all heart and hustle and leaves nothing in the tank and is known to give 100% each and every shift.

Loverock was a late addition to the Panthers last season and was signed at the January 10th deadline.  He got his feet wet playing the last five games of the Regular Season and seemed to get more confidence with every shift that he played.  He was an integral part of the defensive core in a protracted playoff run and will be one of the team's top defenceman and players this coming season.

Richardson was signed this Spring to help anchor the defensive group.  He played last season for the Peninsula Midget AA Team and joined the Panthers during the Playoffs and played significant minutes for the team.

All three of these players are Peninsula Minor Hockey products and will be dressed and playing for the Panthers in their Season Opener on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 7:30 P.M.
