Predators knot Series with 3-2 home ice win

The Predators took a 3-1 lead early in the 3rd frame and hung on to beat the visiting Panthers by a 3-2 count. The best-of-7 series is now deadlocked at 1-1 with Games 3 and 4 set for the Panorama Recreation Centre.

The Saanich Predators scored a power play marker early in the final stanza to take a 3-1 lead over the Peninsula Panthers.  The Panthers got close at 3-2 but although they had a myriad of scoring chances, they simply could not find the equalizer. 

With the win, the Predators knotted the best-of-7 series at 1-1 with Game 3 and Game 4 set for the friendly confines of the Panorama Recreation Centre on Saturday and Monday evenings.  The puck is set to drop at 7:30 pm and fans are asked to arrive early as a large crowd is expected to be on hand for what is turning into the series to watch in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League.
