The Peninsula Panthers have a pair of huge weekend games against the ever-tough North Division Comox Valley Glacier Kings as the 'JET' Line looks to lead.

As the Peninsula Panthers look forward to a home-and-home series against a Comox Valley Glacier Kings squad loaded with firepower, Bench Boss Chris Driebergen is looking for some line combinations to continue to build on their chemistry.  The JET Line(r) (Julien, Ethan & Tristan) which has recently been assembled will be a key trio on the weekend if things unfold well in a perfect world.  The three have found some quick chemistry after being put together by Driebergen, most likely the result of having played a number of big games together last season in a VIJHL Championship run.  Julien Phillips, Ethan Lingard and Tristan Rosenblood all have different skill set and all three mesh really well together.

"I still remember in the 1st Round last year against the Wolves, Julien and Ethan really moved the puck out of our end well," quipped Panthers GM Pete Zubersky. "Julien is a smart player and both Ethan and Tristan are intelligent as well and can get around the sheet.  All three have a lot of experience after last season and can play the game any way the opponent wants to play.  I really like this line. I want them to keep the puck out of our net by playing a patient game.  And I want them to score when the opportunity presents.  They are three smart kids and really unselfish players and these are the kinds of guys that you can win with."

The Panthers open the home-and-home weekend series against the Glacier Kings Friday night in the friendly confines of the Panorama Recreation Centre at 7:30 pm and will be up in Comox 24 hours later for the rematch.  Both squads are among the best the VIJHL has to offer and the two games should be eye candy for League fans.
