Notice from Hockey Canada and BC Hockey

The A/N memo from Hockey Canada and BC Hockey speaks loudly and speaks for itself.  In short, the Peninsula Panthers season is over as of today due to the impact of COVID-19.

Head Coach Brad Tippett commented on the situation.

"A person can only control what they can control. This is a situation we cannot control. Obviously we are disappointed. Regardless the health of our players, coaches, trainers and fans takes precedent. We had discussions earlier in the week and began to look at scenarios. Unfortunately this was one of the scenarios we feared the most. We will meet tomorrow to discuss our best course of action."

Pete Zubersky will be putting out an open letter by tomorrow evening discussing the season, the situation in terms of how the Coronaviris has impacted the hockey community, the Panthers upcoming Spring Camp, the 20-year-old players in their last season in Junior Hockey and other items.  The Club is obviously saddened by this sudden turn of events over the past 24 hours culminating in the decision by Hockey Canada and BC Hockey, albeit, the Organization agrees and entirely supports this decision.
