The Peninsula Panthers made a roster move which saw two veterans moving to the Saanich Braves Jr. Hockey Club.

For most, the long weekend in September marks the end of the summer and a chance to put your feet on the coffee table one last time before the Fall.  But in the world of Junior Hockey, it is a busy time where Clubs are making the last few adjustments as they head into the Regular Season.  And for the Peninsula Panthers, the long weekend proved to be a busy one as the Team pulled off a transaction ahead of their 2019/20 Home Opener this Friday night.  One-year veterans Fraser Auchterlonie and David Edgar were both moved just a few kilometers South and will now skate with the Saanich Braves.  The deal was for cash.

"These two kids each had a solid season last year as a pair of rookies and both wanted to have much bigger roles as they move along in their Junior Careers," quipped Pete Zubersky.  "I hope that both guys have a great year with the Braves.  They gave a lot to the Panthers Organization; both can play with an edge.  We all wish them the best of luck and thank them for their time with the Club."

Auchterlonie and Edgar will not have to wait long to get back onto the ice at the Panorama Recreation Centre.  The Braves will be in this Friday night for the Panthers' Home Opener in what should prove to be a large crowd.  The puck drops at 7:30 pm.
