Panthers & Storm best-of-7 series schedule set.

The Peninsula Panthers handed the Oceanside Generals their marching orders with a 3-1 win in "Wild Card Monday" forcing the Generals to the sidelines in the Sudden Death affair.  And with the win, the Panthers move on to face the North Island Division leading Campbell River Storm in the best-of-7 Round 1 series.  The Panthers will open in Campbell River on Friday night before returning to the friendly confines of the Panorama Recreation Centre on SATURDAY for an afternoon game set to go at 2:00 pm.  The Panthers will also host Game 3 next Monday night.

"We are pretty happy to be moving on," expressed General Manager Pete Zubersky.  "Last night was a grind.  I thought the Generals were a bit better than we were after 20 minutes but I believe we took over the game after that.  It was a huge step in the development of our young Club, I loved it and so did everyone else involved in the game.  This series with the Storm is an important one for us as we move forward.  I know we will be playing in Campbell River to a packed house and it will be loud.  I expect that our fans will support the Club when we get back here; this is going to be a lot of fun."

Gm 6 at Peninsula – Saturday, March 4 at 4:00 pm (if needed)

Gm 7 at Campbell River – Sunday, March 5 (Time to be announced)  (if needed)
