Three Peninsula Panthers were named to the VIJHL South Division Team for the game scheduled to go at the Q Centre on January 17th, 2016 at 5:00 pm.

20-year-old Captain Spencer Loverock will lead a trio of Panthers in the January 17th, 2016 Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League All-Star game set for 5:00 pm at the Q Centre in Colwood.  Joining Loverock will be forwards 18-year-old Centre Trevor Owens and 17-year-old Cameron Thompson.

Loverock is the best skater in the League and he has been a steady influence on the back end for the "Cats" from the Peninsula.   Owens struggled to put up points early in the season and was hampered by a laceration to his ankle causing him to miss several games.  As of late he has probably been one of the best players on the Club and is counted on in big situations.  Thompson came out of the chutes on fire, has racked up 19 goals at the Christmas break.

"These three are very deserving of the honour to represent our Team at the game on January 17th," said Head Coach Rob Mortin.  "The three are very different players but all three are highly skilled and will perform at a top end level in the game.  Our organization are proud of all three and I would expect that most of our Club will be there cheering them on in January."

The Westshore Wolves will be hosting a luncheon banquet at 1:00 pm at the JDF Seniors Centre and this event will be open to the General Public.  Tickets for the banquet will be $35. while admission to the game is set at $10.

The Peninsula Panthers Organization take this opportunity to congratulate Loverock, Owens and Thompson and wish them luck during the VIJHL All-Star Game.
