The Peninsula Panthers and Campbell River Storm had been engaged in trade talks for 19-year-old power forward Reece Costain and late this afternoon the former Captain of the Club was dealt to the Storm.

Campbell River Storm Head Coach/GM Lee Stone contacted Panthers owner Pete Zubersky several months ago and inquired about 19-year-old power forward Reece Costain.  The two continued talks over many weeks that followed and late Saturday afternoon the two struck a deal which will see Costain make a move to the North Division leaders.  The Panthers received a sum of cash as well as a player to be named later in the deal.

"Lee Stone was certainly aggressive in going after Costain but he was fair to deal with and I believe we both achieved what we were hoping for," said Zubersky.  "Our Organization certainly wish Reece the best of luck for the rest of the season and beyond and we thank him for his time and effort with the Club during his tenure here."

The Panthers are back on home ice this coming Friday when they host the red hot Saanich Braves and will then hit the road in Oceanside Saturday for an engagement with the Generals.
